I've never read TKAM either, but enjoyed the film with Gregory Peck. I look foward to the chapter reviews.

I read it 2 years ago when it was an assignment for my then-freshman daughter's English class. :flower:

That sounds wonderful. That's on of my favorite books from high school, and I recently thought about rereading it. Between rereading the OL series, wanting to read some of the LJ books, my book club commitments, and my bible study, I didn't feel I'd have time to add another book. However, breaking it down to a chapter a week is completely doable. I'm going to download it to my Kindle today.

edit: I just found out that it's not available on Kindle. I need to check through our home library to see if we have a copy, and if not, I'm off to the bookstore this week.

I've read this book at least three times. Once is high school, again in my twenties and then I just read it in November (I should have waited a couple of months!!) It has read differently for me each time, because of my life experience. It is one of my all time favorites. I like that the story is semi- autobiographical.

I've been trying to get my oldest two to read this one, but they haven't been very interested. However, we watched the movie together as a family this weekend and they really enjoyed it. They had many questions, I'm hoping they'll pick it up over the summer. I'll have to read it again along with my wee bairns.

Nina, feel free to comment on the TKAMB chapter reviews. We are on Chapter 19 or so this week. Here is the link.

Thanks LJ, I might jump in  . I'm trying to catch up on DIA right now so I can participate in the Voyager discussion. I gave up the series for a while and I am quite shocked that I have forgotten so much. OH, what I would do with a photographic memory!! :flower:
