I love this! So much happens in this book, it's hard to believe that is all takes place in just nine months. Looking at the timeline it seems that the baby was probably conceived at Lallybrach. That is a happy thought.

Thank you ladies for your effort!

This is a wonderful reference. It is a quick refresher.
I got chills "Claire ransoms Jamie's soul." Dec. 31st. I'll never forget that scene in the abbey and the last one on Jan. 28th.

Thank you ladies, you are magnificent.

Yep, that's what I thought, too! :Melissa:

However,....we had to reconsider. We (Laura and I) are in the process of going through the timeline for Dragonfly and now we think that the baby was probably conceived on January 14th, when Jamie first struggles down the hall in the middle of the night at the Abbey to seek the warmth of Claire's bed. :<3:

This time line is great.
Isn't it weird that May 1st -- the day that Claire and Frank observe the calling to the stones -- is Jaime's birthday?

That is such an amazing coincidence. I'm about to begin Outlander forr the third time. I've read all the threads of the book, the location, the timelines, the vocabulary and the characters. NOW, I'm ready to read the book with a critical eye and a questioning heart! Thanx Laura and Devhoted for all the hard and good work you have done.

Thank you all for the kind comments. :<3: For me, a time line helps place the characters in context. For example, when you're reading, you tend to forget how much time Jamie and Claire spend together before he is captured by the Watch and taken to Wentworth. Those moments in their married daily life ~ those non-conflict moments, the boring breakfast-lunch-dinner-bed moments ~ take place between those conflict moments (the ill-wish, etc.). But it's these moments that create the strong bond of the couple. So, with the time line, we can see Jamie and Claire are happily married for 5 full months prior to Wentworth.

Ya know, sometimes I just want to knock my head against a wall when I fail to connect little dots like this! :wall:

Lady Jayne, excellent catch!

Laura and Devhoted, you ladies are giving us a brand new way of approaching our re-kilts. I'm looking forward to them already. I know I've posted before about this, but I just can't thank you enough. My heart is thoroughly warmed by your thoughtfulness and dedication.

A few additions to the time line to include those few days in late April before Claire walks through the stones:

April 28: Frank sees Jamie's ghost
April 29: Claire goes to the stones with Mr. Crook to look for plants (nothing happens)
April 30: On the way home from their day at Loch Ness, Claire sees a fox crossing the road (pg 28); meets young Roger at Rev. Wakefield's, has palm read by Mrs. Graham
May 1: Claire and Frank watch Mrs. Graham call at the stones (Jamie's birthday)
May 2: Claire walks through the stones and is transported to 1743 where she is assaulted by BJR and meets Jamie

Great work! While I'm reading it, I'm testing myself to see if I remember which chapter what happened...and of course I don't remember!

Wow, Laura and Devhoted, you put together a masterful chart! This is just so great to have it to come back to for reference. Congrats to you two! :flower:

Just finished looking closely at it, and I noticed that yesterday, October 20, Jamie rescued Claire from the witchcraft horror on her birthday! I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere else, though - y'all don't miss a thing!

There are charts posted for each of the books. So glad you found the OL ones helpful ~ they were awfully fun to compile. :flower:

Thanks so much for the timeline and genealogy! With books as richly complex as these it's soooo helpful.
