Tyrion is an irresistible character. He is a survivor and an "old soul" who has grown mentally hardy like a weed through the cracks of the sidewalk, because he was written off by his family from birth and not groomed to have any kind of power or worth. He can see all the drama and BS in his world for what they are, from the eyes of an outsider.

[quote="Lady Ross. I'm still waiting for more truths about Ned/Robert/Ned's sister to unfold. There is definitely something darker to his past than he let on, and perhaps Jon Snow's mother has something to do with it.[/quote]
This isn't a spoiler because I'm only finishing Book 2 now, but now that you mentioned this, I'm wondering if Jon Snow is really his sister's son and possible the son of Rhaegar, thus making him the true heir king? Just speculating a bit after you mentioned this.

Pauline, I have oft wondered this as well. All speculation. Rhaegar did "steal" Ned's sister...or so Robert says. And as Ned's son, he is an heir to the throne of the North... so his claim might even be better than Dany's if that is the case.
