:read: Since we have had great fun this year with our readalong of the classic book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee it would be lovely to continue the tradition in 2012 -

What makes a classic?

This is a difficult genre to define as everyone has their own opinion as to what constitutes a classic….

• Classics stand the test of time
• Classic have expressions of great qualities in life, situations and cultures
• Classics have universal appeal
• Classics influence other writing
• Classics stimulate thinking and debate

Please post your suggestions and we'll see what appeals as a group read....

I'm still hoping to get to War and Peace and would love to do it with a group, but I understand if people think it's too much to take on.
