I also got a Kindle but didn't get any "real" books. I immediately downloaded "Wuthering Heights" and several others from Project Gutenburg and am set for a while with good free stuff.

TwilightTINK wrote: sass, that is awesome! I didn't get any books for Christmas but did get my DH a Kindle for our anniversary a few days later. I love books but generally want to pick them out myself. That said, you are all my book friends and I know you have great taste in books so I would make an exception for any of you. I have some lovely book friends who I regularly exchange books with -if only you were nearer ...

I received a Nook and downloaded 2 volumes of 50 books each of classics (although To Kill a Mockingbird is not one of them) but there are loads of others which I can't wait to read. Still playing around with it but it's pretty easy to navigate.

Got a Kindle for Christmas but no new books. I had been reading on Kindle for PC so had a few left to read. One book series I just finished I would recommend. Sara Donati's Wilderness series was really good. The first book is Into the Wilderness and is the first of 6 set in the late 1700s and early 1800s in the wilderness of New York State. Each book is an epic in and of itself. Good strong characters and family connections and what appears to be historically accurate information. I really enjoyed them.

I too received a kindle and the 1st 3 books I downloaded were OL, Voyager, and ABoSaA. I got a gift card so I'll be downloading a few more soon. O and I ordered the large paperback version of ABoSaA which will complete my set in that version. Still gotta get HB copies of Drums, Fiery Cross, and Echo. *totally obsessed here*
