If you haven't read these yet, I am highly recommending the following: 1. The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning 2. The Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning 3. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness 4. Divergent By Veronica Roth Excellent reads y'all

I've read the Fever series and just finished A Discovery of Witches. I'm a bit iffy on the Highlander series because they might be a little too much in the romance genre for me, from what I've heard, but maybe someday. I haven't heard of Divergent, though. I'll try to look into that one (although I have to say that my suggestions list of what to read is disturbingly long. ). Thanks for the suggestions and I definitely agree about the ones I've read. ETA: Wait! I lied. I have heard about Divergent, but I can't remember where. Maybe Charlaine Harris' Book & Blog, but that might not be it.

I'm really getting into Jean Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear series or is it Earth's children. I needed a break from the vamps.

I am reading Game of Kings right now - then maybe Lover Unleashed before I hit the 3 book in the Songs of Ice and Fire...

I have recommended these series before, but am mentioning them again because they are excellent reads. The first is Into the Wilderness (6 books) by Sara Donati and the other is The Bronze Horseman (3 books) by Paulina Simmons. They are rather long, but move along quickly.

I enjoyed the Earth's Children series, though I thought the odd ones (1, 3 and 5) were better than the evens (2, 4 and 6) and the last in particular seemed very repetitious and I think could have been better if it was edited down.
I'm nearly done with Lover Unleashed now, and I've had both of the series Lady Jayne is recommending on my TBR list for a while. I've been determined to get to the Bronze Horseman series in 2011, but so far I haven't had the chance.
If you haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, I think those are fun reads. And, I really enjoy Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate books - sort of Jane Austen manners meet werewolves, vampires and ghosts with a steampunk setting. They are quite funny and I am looking forward to the 4th coming out soon.

Lady Jayne: I recently read The Bronze Horseman and T&A - and quite enjoyed them (as difficult as it was to read the detail about the seige of Lenningrad) but I am not sure I want to read The Summer Garden. The story feels finished enough for me and it sounds like the 3rd book is the story of T&A getting on with the rest of their lives and Anthony growing up in post-WW II America (not as historically interesting to me). Did you find book 3 worthwhile?

Definitely read The Summer Garden. It was the most controversial of all of the books. It takes you through the 60's and Vietnam, etc., but more important, it shows the aftereffects of Tatiana and Alexander's pasts. It is not the happily ever after, but the struggle to come to terms with their lives and their families. Quite a bit of shockers in this one. And the ending is THE BEST.

I am reading Blue Bells of Scotland by Laura Vosika. It is on sale at Amazon for $2.99 (Kindle) I was reluctant, but figured for the price I might as well give it a try. I have to say that I am really enjoying it. I have been listening to the music while I read it. Here is the song on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-Ktm2LzUdo&NR=1 Here is another website I found about it that is kinda fun too. http://www.bluebellstrilogy.com/index.phpI'll let you know how I liked it when I am done. So far so good though.
