OK, I've finished "Forever Amber" and would LOVE to discuss it with any of you ladies here...it was compulsively readable but in the end I found it utterly disappointing. The hero and heroine were despicable and unsympathetic and there was no redemption for anyone. Blech! What a disappointing investment of nearly 1,000 pages. Has anyone else read it? Want to share feedback?

I've read it but it was so long ago I don't remember enough to discuss.

Like Thistle I read this such a long time ago - I would need to re read it in order to discuss it with any authority.

Well, as much as I'd like to encourage you to re-read it so that we could discuss it here, I cannot in good conscience do so. I thought it was an extreme disappointment, and yet I couldn't put it down until I had read all 972 pages. I kept hoping for a change in direction as the ending approached, but it simply never happened, and several obvious loose ends were never tied up. hmmppff
