For those of you who have read their first 50 books of the year, or are close to achieving that milestone, we are raising the bar to a 100 book challenge. Let's see who can read more than 100. Any guesses? (Perhaps a vamp and tramp reader?)

You can copy and paste your list of 50 books and add to them in this thread.

Happy Reading! :read:

Boy. I just posted my June books and there were only 4 including both regular and audiobooks. That's because I was traveling and visiting family and just didn't have a lot of reading time. It's too bad I get sick reading in the car because if I didn't I'd get much more reading done. It's not too bad, though. I usually do puzzles (sudoku, crosswords, kenken, etc) which have less to read and are easier to look up/take a break from and I like those too. :D

June was a slow reading month for me as well. The kids' final exams and end of the school year wrap-up/transition to summer camp seemed to have taken up most of my time. Let's hope that July is a more active reading month than the last. Reading is my favorite pastime.

Well, I don't consider it a race (thank goodness, or I wouldn't want to pick up some of the long books I read, including my current book The Bronze Horseman), but I do like to set goals for myself. And, it's really fun to see everyone's lists and see what I've read and haven't read on other people's lists. Not that I need more books to add to my TBR list which is disturbingly long already. . .

I have a few more since the end of June that I haven't added yet, but I usually wait until the end of the month and then add all the books from that month. My list is up to 83 and I should finish two more (one book and one audiobook) in the next few days.

I am currently reading the 3 Fire and Ice book and just finished Lover Unleashed. I love reading, too bad I can't do it for a living!

I just added my July books. I didn't give the Outlander 20th edition bonus material its own number because there really wasn't that much of it (didn't seem like a whole book or even novella and I didn't reread the novel at the time). Not sure how everyone else counts those sorts of things, but I tend to put them on the list as a sub-category under the previous number to remember that I read them, but not to consider them equivalent to a full book. I've done that with some short stories at times too, unless I read (or listen to) enough stories in an anthology to feel like a whole book. [I hope that makes sense.]

I am currently reading the 3 Fire and Ice book and just finished Lover Unleashed. I love reading, too bad I can't do it for a living!

Me too! It is so wonderful that so many of like the same series, in addition to the Outlander series! :yipee: I wish someone would pay me to read! Or at least give me any book I want for free!

I don't count the novellas and other short material on my book list. Especially if I sneak around and read it all while still at the bookstore  like I did with "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows".
