I finished Bluebells of Scotland. It was good. Especially towards the end when I could not put it down. The 2nd book will not be out until September

I just finished it after seeing this thread posted here. I really, really liked it. Of course it was not Outlander but since I have to read something in the meantime (LOL)...... The characters are good and actually grow on you as you go along. The plot has you on the edge of your seat especially toward the end. She plans two more in this series. The first, "The Minstrel Boy" should be out in September and I really am looking forward to the rest of the story.

I downloaded BBoS to my Kindle and hope to read it next month. Thanks for the recommendation. Most of us here seem to like the same books so I don't think I will be disappointed.

Just finished to second installment of the Blue Bells of Scotland Series by Laura Vosika. The first was called "Blue Bells of Scotland" and the second is "The Minstrel Boy." Its an interesting read involving time travel between the present and medieval Scotland. There is to be one more in the series coming out sometime next year I believe. Has anyone read them?

Hi Fan! I just finished the two books. In fact I am rereading! I liked the books. I always read very fast the first time and can slow down and catch little bits the second time around. I am interested in what will happen in the final book. What do you think? Do you think Shawn found his way back? What about Angus? Do you think Amy will see Neil again? What is with the painting of her that was found in the castle? Wondered how Neil could do that from memory! I hate having to wait till next year.

I really liked both books. Here is the review I gave of The Minstrel Boy:

Another great read by Laura Vosika! This is book 2 of the Blue Bells of Scotland Chronicles. It was so good to see Shawn/Niall & Amy/Allene again. Not just them but so many characters old and new. I love the way the author has them interact with each other. Reading each scene for me was like watching a show or movie. Going back and forth between characters and time.
In the first book BlueBells of Scotland I was wanting to knock some sense into Shawn. In this book I found my self wanting to knock some sense into about 5 of the characters. I was talking to them as if they could here me, actually mad that they were not hearing me!
The scenery is written so well, I could see it; be it out side or in. I love seeing the castles both in their original time and on the tours in present time. I could just imagine going through the archives as Amy and Angus were doing. I really liked the new characters especially Rose, Angus & Christina. When I saw the words The End I literally said NO! I wanted to keep reading!
This books takes you on a wonderful ride through Scotland both in the 1300's and present time (its never bad to learn some history!) with characters you love and characters you hate. I am hanging on the edge of my seat to see how things work out! I highly recommend this book! Ooooh it is going to be hard waiting for the next one!
