Hey readers! Can anyone tell me if the BDB series is available on audio? And if so, is it a good listen? Thinking of listening to it after I finish Echo... Thanks!!

I listened to a couple of the books (or maybe 3), and honestly? I was a bit underwhelmed. I thought the guy's voice wasn't quite deep enough for the Brothers and they were a bit bland (if I remember correctly what I didn't like - it's been a while). It wasn't bad and I know someone said on another board that she loved them. And, I did get used to it and it bothered me less after a while. But, unlike the Outlander audio books by Davina Porter which I think are fantastic, I thought the BDB ones were just OK.

I was underwhelmed also. I have listened to quite a few different audio books over the last year or so but this was the first *adult* book I tried listening too. It just was not what I had thought it would be. I downloaded Phury's book from the library. I didn't like the narrators voice.. not deep enough for a big giant vampire, the rough language didn't sound quite right.. or the sexy language. There was quite a bit of Phury's book where either Phury or Cormia think things rather than say them outloud. It was all the stuff in the italics in the book.. all the conversations Phury has internally with The Wizard.. it just does not translate well from a visual to an audio format.

I happen to have all of the BDB books, on audio on my iPod; I also have CD's of Lover Avenged, (Rehvenge). The Guide is not available as an audiobook. Now, I'll have to admit Jim Frangione, (the narrator), didn't really impress me when I first listened to Dark Lover, (Wrath). However, ½ way through, I realized, I believed in this guy as the voice of the BDB. He has a very deep voice and I feel it's very sensual. Now, I couldn't imagine anyone else narrating.
I can totally understand what you mean MaggieM; when hearing Phury's Wizard it gets a little bit blurry on who's talking. Jim F. uses an English accent when speaking as the wizard, but when you're really listening to the story, it can be hard to differentiate.
One thing about the CD's: Only Rev's book is available on CD's; I don't know why.

Oh just want to agree with everyone here Jim Frangione just killed Lover Eternal for me. I just know Rhage has a voice to match that body of his!
