We usually get an indepth view of a Shellan's life only when her BDB's story is being told. Afterward, not so much. It would be nice to hear some insights of the activities the Shellans had when not w/their mates.

Well, we do know a few things don't we? We know that Beth is very active as queen. We know she counsels Wrath quite a bit. We also know that Jane actively doctors the boys too. And of course Cormia is active with the home for the Chosen. We do get glimpses but maybe not as much story as we would like.

Perhaps w/her next guide JDR could interview the Shellans?

I guess it's the day to day activities that make me wonder...obviously they don't have to worry too much about chores and the such. It's been said here and there that the Shellans help @ Marissa's Safe House, so they do have a bit to do there, but I guess I'm wondering about the 'mundane'.

If I remember correctly, @ the end of Lover Enshrined, (Phury's book), Cormia was working on designing Rev's new club, (which I assume is the one Trez manages after ZeroSum blows up). Between that and acclimating the Chosen that would be a plateful. I think I read in the guide that a section was edited from their book that included Cormia and Phury having twin boys....I think!

It would be very interesting to know more of the Shellan life. You know ~ to see if I'd like to sign up for that lifestyle. lol

Give me a doggen or two and I am all for signing up!!!

Well, my guess is that at least Doc Jane is making sure her med supplies are all in order. Bella is caring for Nalla. The rest are probably recovering from all the hot sex!

Good thing the vamps in the BDB have lots of $ ~ w/all the showering, (or bath taking in the big Jacuzzi for Mary & Rhage), they must have one heck of a water bill!!

I guess the Shellans lend themselves to their talents:

Beth: Queen, volunteer @ Safe House
Mary: Therapist, reading teacher, volunteer @ Safe House
Bella: Mahmen of Nalla, volunteer @ Safe House
Marissa: Director of Safe House
Doc Jane: the name says it all, contractor of the new medical facility @ the BDB estate
Cormia: Acclimates Chosen to the 'real', designer/architect
Ehlena: Caregiver to her father, nurse @ the BDB medical facility, probably volunteers @ Safe House
Xhex: Warriorette of the BDB, although she would be very effectual as one, probably does not volunteer @ Safe House

I could see Xhex actually being an instructor @ the training facility for future warriors. She would be excellent there; perhaps w/her encouragement she could convince Wrath to allow females into the war against the lessers. This way, the Warrior Army could increase their numbers quickly. I would think given the Glymera's recent decline, the 'old rules and way's' would become obsolete encouraging a more open mind towards change.

Being a mate of a BDB, there probably isn't a thing such as 'mundane'; however, it would be interesting to some glimpse into their lives.

In the shower, I couldn't think of anything better that goes w/the hot water than a Brother! (Preferably Zsadist). Good thing they have really big shower stalls since the Brother's are such big males.

I'd happily pay that water bill, to splash around with any of the Brothers!

In a moment of serendipity, the minute I submitted the above post an email went out here at work stating "We now have hot water!" Uh, oh. Maybe "Big Brother" is monitoring my computer activity.
