Tink I've actually noticed that a lot in real life. Very good looking people with someone very plain.
I always wonder if it's because the good looking one needs to be the focus of attention, and therefore chooses (consciously, or not) a mate who is plain. Or like our Rhage they see the beauty below the skin which makes the person beautiful to them on the outside as well.
To Rhage ,Mary is beautiful inside and out, but she doesn't accept that for awhile. I think I would be like that too. I'd be wondering to myself -Why is this gorgeous guy interested in me when he could choose someone else who is beautiful?
And then the sacrifice he is willing to make for her...my heart just cried for him.
