My Z book is a bit of a cheat since it was a short graphic novel. That was actually a bit of confusion on my part because there is a novel of the same title, with a different subtitle, that was recommended, but I didn't realize that my library didn't have the novel. I have it now from ILL, so that will probably be my Z for 2012.

But, even if it's short, it's the right letter and I read it, so there it is.
